Terms of Service - Vemotion AI

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vemotion AI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Vemotion AI is an AI-powered code generation platform that enables users to create Remotion video component code using natural language descriptions. The Service uses Google Gemini AI to generate TypeScript/React code that can be used with the Remotion framework. Features include:

AI-powered Remotion code generation from text descriptions
Real-time browser-based animation preview
Code export for use in your own Remotion projects

Note: Vemotion AI generates code only. Video rendering and export is performed by users in their own Remotion projects, not by our service.

3. User Accounts

Access to Vemotion AI requires authentication through Google Single Sign-On (SSO). By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
Use the Service to infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
Redistribute generated code as a competing code generation service

5. Third-Party Software & Licenses

The code generated by Vemotion AI utilizes Remotion, a React-based video creation framework developed by Remotion AG, a Swiss corporation.

Important: When you use the generated code in your own projects, you become a user of Remotion Software and must comply with Remotion's license terms.

Remotion License Requirements:

Individuals: Free to use under Remotion Free License
Organizations with up to 3 employees: Free to use under Remotion Free License
Organizations with 4+ employees: Remotion Company License required ($100+/month)

No Affiliation: Vemotion AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Remotion AG. "Remotion" is a registered trademark of Remotion AG.

6. Intellectual Property

Subject to third-party license terms (including Remotion), you retain ownership of the specific code generated for your prompts. The code is yours to use for personal or commercial purposes, provided you comply with applicable licenses.

The underlying technology, AI models, and Service infrastructure remain the property of Vemotion AI. You grant us a limited license to process your prompts solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. User Responsibility for Licensing

You acknowledge and agree that:

You are solely responsible for determining whether you need a Remotion license
You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any required licenses
Vemotion AI does not grant, transfer, or sublicense Remotion licenses to users
Vemotion AI is not liable for any licensing fees, penalties, or damages arising from your use of generated code

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vemotion AI and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Refund & Cancellation Policy

No Refunds: All payments made for Vemotion AI subscriptions are final and non-refundable.

Due to the nature of our digital service, we do not offer refunds for any subscription payments, including but not limited to:

Monthly or annual subscription fees
Partial month usage
Unused generation credits or limits
Downgrade from a higher tier plan

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
You will retain access to all features until that date
No further charges will be made after cancellation
No partial refunds will be issued for the remaining time

Recommendation: We encourage you to use the Free tier to evaluate the Service before subscribing to a paid plan.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
